> CONCRETION

Concretion is a very frequent natural phenomenon.
We can observe it every day in the furring up of water pipes and kettles, or of the formation of little tubes and white stains that can be seen under concrete bridges. These are chemical deposits, in a crystalline or pseudo crystalline form of substances present dissolved in water. The limestone environment of caves and the way they are hollowed out is naturally favourable to the development of concretions.
They are deposited, structured and shaped by chemical processes, the laws of crystallography and physical factors related to the environment.
